Cómo editar un cuestionario

En la pantalla de edición del cuestionario, usted puede crear y categorizar sus preguntas para agregarlas a continuación al cuestionario. Lo que ve en esta pantalla depende de si los estudiantes ya han intentado resolverlo o no.

Antes de que se haya intentado resolver el cuestionario

A la izquierda de la pantalla, tal como se muestra en la Figura 5-3, usted verá un bloque que muestra las preguntas agregadas al cuestionario actual. Si se trata de un cuestionario nuevo no habrá preguntas, y así se lo hará saber Moodle.

A la derecha de la pantalla verá un menú de selección de categorías denominado "Categoría" y un botón titulado "Editar Categorías". Las categorías sirven para organizar las preguntas del cuestionario en su curso, y pueden actuar como contenedores para compartir preguntas entre varios cursos. Se muestra una categoría denominada "Por defecto".

Adición de categorías

Puede comenzar creando una nueva categoría que contenga las preguntas del cuestionario. Para ello deberá hacer clic en el botón 'Editar Categorías'. Esta acción le trasladará a una nueva página descrita en mod/quiz/category.

Constituye una buena costumbre crear categorías para organizar las preguntas. El nivel de detalle de las categorías depende de usted, pero es común optar por categorías más detalladas que puedan combinarse más tarde en grupos mayores si así se desea. Por ejemplo, podemos separar preguntas relativas a una lectura en un par de conceptos. Eu un momento posterior, resultará más fácil agruparlas que separarlas.

Creación de preguntas

Una vez creadas las categorías, es momento de agregar preguntas.

1. Seleccione una categoría en el menú emergente Categoría: y elija una categoría a la que desea agregar una pregunta.
2. El área debajo de la categoría mostrará entonces un bloque de creación de preguntas.
3. Seleccione el tipo de pregunta que desea crear en el menú emergente Crear nueva pregunta.
4. Cumplimente el formulario correspondiente al tipo de pregunta que está creando.
5. Haga clic en Guardar cambios.

Cadatipo de pregunta dispone de su propio formulario y tiene sus propias opciones.

Importación de preguntas

Si dispone de un banco de preguntas en formato de texto, o si no quiere utilizar la interfaz web para crear sus preguntas, puede importarlas de un archivo de texto. La versión nativa de Moodle admite ocho formatos, y proporciona asimismo una forma fácil de crear nuevos formatos de importación si usted conoce algo de PHP.

Una vez que conoce un formato determinado, puede resultar más fácil escribir las preguntas en un archivo de texto que usar la interfaz web, pueso que sólo tendrá que escribir sin esperar a que la página se refresque después de escribir cada una de las preguntas.

Los formatos disponibles por defecto son:

GIFT

El formato GIFT admite preguntas de elección múltiple, verdadero-falso, respuesta corta, emparejamiento y numéricas.

Aiken

El formato Aiken es una forma fácil de escribir preguntas de respuesta múltiple para su ulterior importación. Se trata de un formato muy fácil y legible.

Palabra perdida

Este formato es conveniente cuando se necesite escribir un conjunto de preguntas de elección múltiple con una palabra ausente.

AON

Este formato es similar al anterior, excepto en que crea preguntas de emparejamiento a partir de preguntas de elección múltiple.

Blackboard

En el caso de que quiera trasladar un cuestionario de Blackboard a Moodle, puede exportar su curso y luego importar los bloques de preguntas a Moodle usando el formato Blackboard.

WebCT

Por el momento, el formato WebCT sólo admite la importación de preguntas de elección múltiple y respuesta corta.

Course Test Manager

Este formato permite importar preguntas de Course Test Manager de Course Technology.

Respuestas incrustadas (Cloze)

Cloze es un formato de preguntas y respuestas múltiples con las respuestas anidadas. Su construcción puede resultar un tanto engorrosa, pero constituye una forma única de hacer preguntas.

El archivo de ayuda disponible pulsando el botón de ayuda (al lado del botón de importar archivo) proporciona información detallada sobre cada formato.

Agregar preguntas a un cuestionario

Once you’ve created your questions, you’ll need to add them to the quiz. The quiz editing page will now look something like that displayed in Figure 5-12.

The << icons to the left of the questions are used to add individual questions to the quiz. You can also select several questions using the checkboxes on the left of the question list and then click the “Add to quiz” button at the bottom of the list to add then all at once. If you want to add all the displayed questions then use the 'Select all' link.

Once you’ve added a question to the quiz, it appears on the left side of the screen in the quiz question list. The question is still selectable on the right, but you can only add it to the quiz once. If you select the question in the category list again and add it to the quiz, nothing will happen.

Once you’ve added the questions to the quiz, you can change the order of the questions by clicking the arrow buttons on the left side of the list of quiz questions (see Figure 5-13).

You will also need to set the grade for each question. You can set the number of points for each question in the Grade column. This allows you to set the relative weight of each question in the quiz. You may want to make certain questions or question types worth more than others. You should also set the 'Maximum grade' for the whole quiz. This does not have to be equal to the sum of the grades for the individual questions. The grades achieved by the students will be rescaled to be out of this maximum grade. After adjusting the grades for the individual questions you should click on the 'Save grades' button.

Agregar preguntas aleatorias

When you add a random question to a quiz, then it will be replaced with a randomly-chosen question from the currently selected category - for each attempt.

This means that different students are likely to get a different selection of questions when they attempt this quiz. When a quiz allows multiple attempts for each student then each attempt will also contain a new selection of questions.

The same question will never appear twice in a quiz. If you include several random questions then different questions will always be chosen for each of them. If you mix random questions with non-random questions then the random questions will be chosen so that they do not duplicate one of the non-random questions.

The grade for the randomly chosen question will be rescaled so that the maximum grade is what you have chosen as the grade for the random question.

When you’re done, you will probably also want to preview your entire quiz by clicking on the 'Preview' tab. This will bring you to the Quiz attempt page but in teacher preview mode.

Después de haber intentado resolver el cuestionario

If the quiz has already been attempted you will see a notice saying that you cannot add or remove questions. In case the changes to your quiz are obligatory, you can, however, remove the quiz attempts (you access them clicking View x quiz attempts (y Students), where 'x' stands for the number of attempts by 'y' students).

If you do not want to remove the quiz attempts, you can still perform some cosmetic changes such as displaying questions from sub-categories or old questions (to do any of the two activities just check the appropriate box).
