This page provides links to prototype sites demonstrating new features that will be included in coming versions of Moodle.
We would love to hear what you think of these new features! After exploring the sites, please post your feedback in the Future major features forum.
Coming in Moodle 3.9
Activity Chooser Improvements
This project is to update the activity chooser and allow users to star / favourite the activities they use the most. More information can be found at Activity chooser.
H5P Integration: Phase 2
This project continues on from the H5P integration work done in Moodle 3.8. Key new features will include the ability to:
- create H5P content in Moodle
- use H5P content types as Moodle Activities with grading and completion tracking
- a new content bank to store created H5P content types
You can find more information on the H5P page and regular updates are posted in the H5P forum.
We also have a clickable H5P prototype
MUA Projects
For Moodle 3.9 we are collaborating with the Moodle User Association on two projects.
Participants page filter improvements
This project will make the course participants filter on the participants page more powerful by allowing you to construct filter queries using logical operators (AND, OR, NOT).
Try out the clickable filter prototype!
Course copy interface
This much requested feature will make it easier to copy courses in a few simple steps from a single screen.
MoodleNet Integration
MoodleNet is our new social platform for educators to share and curate collections of open resources. This project is about the integration between MoodleNet and Moodle LMS.
Try out the proposed workflows in our prototype!
Improved Safe Exam Browser integration
Safe Exam Browser offers a way to safely carry out online assessments by turning the web-browser into a secure workstation. It has been part of Moodle's experimental settings for a long time and we are now improving the integration to be more user friendly and powerful! This is a collaboration between the Safe Exam Browser consortium, Catalyst Australia and Moodle HQ. Follow the project in our tracker.
More prototype site links coming soon...
