Talk:Alternate icon set

From MoodleDocs

How does the default to standard theme work

I thought that if a custom theme (1.9) could not produce a needed CSS or picture in a module call, it went to the default which is generally the Standard Theme. If it could not find the picture there, then it would check /moodle/pix and some other places (vague because I don't go there). Thus in creating a new theme, technically you have to follow the file/folder structure of the standard theme, but only change those folders/files that needed changing. Certainly a best practice would be to copy the whole thing for the most control and stability during an upgrade.

Guessing the alternative icon set page has concepts that are unnecessarily carried forward from earlier versions of Moodle that were customized differently (no cascading). --Chris collman 06:37, 1 July 2008 (CDT)
