Standard roles

When Moodle is installed, these standard roles are created automatically:

• Guest role
• Authenticated user role
• Student role
• Non-editing teacher role
• Teacher role
• Course creator role
• Administrator role

After installing Moodle, you can create new roles, and change the definition of existing roles, using the roles administration interface.
