- Why is a single source needed to determine latest versions? The Plugins repository is already set up to be able to push out version information in future. It would be redundant to duplicate this elsewhere. It also seems that the Plugins repository is the incorrect place to draw information about the latest version of Moodle core. However, in saying that, giving the Plugins repository knowledge of the latest Moodle version could help automate processes there, so perhaps it could share that information with Plugin version information.
