Performance overview
The performance overview report in Site administration > Reports > Performance overview lists issues which may affect performance of the site.
For each of the issues, it is possible to edit the setting by clicking the icon and either enable or disable it. Reasons are given for keeping the settings as defaut and the consequences of changing them.
Environment check moved to Performance overview report
The core_environment check (displayed as ‘Environment’ on screen) is now moved from Site administration > Reports > System status to Site administration > Reports > Performance overview.
In the suite of System status checks that are primarily designed for a constant health-check, the checks must be lightweight. Since the Environment check doesn't need to run every minute, moving it out of the System status report, which is polled frequently by monitoring tools such as Icinga or Nagios, makes those status checks noticeably faster and lighter.
This reduces unnecessary database load.
