Lesson 3 - Cluster & Branches, Oh My
Yes a real Oh My, the most complicated Lesson for everyone. There is a great deal of dust in the air. With less explaining, the intent is for the teacher to check out "how did they do that" in edit mode.
Lesson settings: Dependency on Lesson 2, completed. Custom scoring on, 20 max score, max attempts at 2, allow retakes and use the mean. We will show the student score, progress through the lesson and display the menu to the left. We will show a Flash card activity at the end.

To do Lesson 3
Perhaps I am being too complicated with the EoB demonstration. I think I will merely show cluster and focus upon a simple branch rather that the two types of classic branches I introduced. Will not have to change much of my graphics. Delete the EBs should do it. Will have to change to text in the existing page and the jumps. A simple branch with questions, a simple branch with branch pages. Could insert a loop for one answer on one of the questions.
End of Branch pages do not seem to work with unseen question jumps and random branch page jumps. (sigh). Minor but if BT has unseen question jump and all questions have been seen, jumps to end of lesson
Major, if BT has random branch jump, will randomly select any BT page from the end of lesson back towards the page with the jump.
- Plan B
- Eliminate the random branch jump, just use unseen question segment.
- Still has bug with BT.
- Perhaps hide Random branch page error by by placing segment at end of logical order. Nobody may notice that there was no review. Move FlashCard description up in the logical order. This is not honest if the bug is not fixed. It would demo flex that the review does not have to come at the end. Keep the B 13 and move it. Change the graphics - sigh.
- Plan C
- Eliminate any part of the lesson and mention of any EoB features. Go from Clusters to Flash card set up.
- Double check this statement in Conclusion of Cluster, see jumps in Q3 and Q4
starting with "In the logical order there were two clusters.- You may have noticed that after answering the question, the jumps all went to the end of cluster.
- The end of cluster went back to the Welcome to the Moodle Challenge!
- Once all 4 questions were answer, there was nothing to see and
- the student was pass through to this page. And there was some other stuff going on."
Student View
ugh!
- opening .student to find answers might go to
- Mention progress bar? red text box underneath the TOC choices ?
- s'el does not work in student view. MUST SCORE EACH ANSWER ELSE ERROR GIVEN TO STUDENT
- Went on with lesson asked for next question.
- Better check all the jumps, no correct answers or the unseen question is not giving credit for an answer. All fouled up for some reason in student view.
Change questions inside cluster to Unseen question in a cluster instead of Start Cluster. don't point anything after a clsuster start to a cluster start.
- double up page add space after image in text
- Changed name of Conclusion of Clusters to review
Lesson 4 Flash Card Lesson
