Diary prompt system

In a Diary activity it is possible to create writing prompts. These are suggestions to let the student reflect on what to write about.

Examples:

  • Write about safety problems you encountered today on your journey to school
  • Write about an event in Europe that caught your attention in the news
  • Start your story with "Somewhere over the rainbow"

Writing prompts have a start date and an end date. You can have several, non overlapping writing prompts in a Diary. The idea is that students have a writing prompt for a certain time block.

For every writing prompt, grading criteria can be set: minimum and maximum number of characters, words, sentences, paragraphs. A rating can be set for failing a criterium.
