This is a list of Moodle design issues and features I have come across:

Weaknesses

  • Lack of configurability of site design for teachers e.g., it should be possible to use 100% of the page width for the middle column - and say have Admin across the bottom - e.g., like other CMS systems e.g., Joomla
  • Lack of configurability of the MyMoodle page - should be modular and customisable at the user level, with usability considerations, e.g., more like igoogle.org
  • Site home pages tend to get overly long, requiring considerable scrolling, and the length and scrolliness tends to increase over time
    • Users should be able to open/close weeks/topics as they can sideboxes

Strengths

  • Message system
