The '''Activities''' block lists the different activities and resources available in your course ([[Forums]], [[Quizzes]], [[Assignments]], [[Lessons]] and so forth) and provides links to the index page for each activity or resource.


This block lists all of the categories of the things that are available in your classroom (forums, quizzes, assignments, etc.). The first time you enter your classroom, the only category that is listed is “Forums.This is because one forum (discussion board) exists by default – the news forum. The activities list will grow as you add activities to your classroom.

Whenever you add a different activity or resource to your course, an icon will appear in this block representing the specific Moodle “module” (e.g. Forum, Journal, Assignment etc.).

Activitiesblockexample.png The Activities block lists the different activities and resources available in your course (Forums, Quizzes, Assignments, Lessons and so forth) and provides links to the index page for each activity or resource.

The activities list will grow as you add activities to your course. Therefore, the first time you enter your course, the only category that is listed is Forums. This is because one forum exists by default – the Announcements forum.
