Event list report

The events list report provides information about all of the events present in the system. Primarily this report is provided for researchers that require additional information about specific events.

Filtering system

Name

The name filters on the "Event name" column of the table. It searches on both the event title and the frankenstyle event path which is in a smaller grey font.

Component

Moodle being a modular system has different types of plugins. The component refers to what type of plugin this event belongs to.

Education level

The education level is a label given to each event to give a general impression of what type of event is being triggered. There are only three levels:

  • Teaching - Any event where a teacher is doing an activity that contributes to teaching students.
  • Participating - Any event where students are participating in a learning activity.
  • Other - Any event that does not fit in "Teaching" or "Participating"

Database query type

This is the type of database query that is being made. The options are:

  • Create
  • Read
  • Update
  • Delete

Table column meanings

Since

When this event was created.

Legacy event

The name of the old event that the new events system has replaced.

Event details

Explanation of the event

Information about what the event does.

Affected table

The database table that is being created, read, updated, or deleted.

Parent event

The parent event that this event is extending. Further more general information about this type of event can be found by following this link.

Other event parameters

Other information that is stored in this event.
