Take-away messages
- Moodle 2.0 is pretty much ready to go - it offers improved security and involves major rewrites of significant functionality e.g., Files system and Messaging, new features such as better capacity for bringing in external social media
- University of Canberra, Australian National University, and CIT, the three major tertiary providers in the ACT, are now all on Moodle (1.9) - which is facilitating valuable cross-institutional collaboration - they will all be migrating to v2 in 2011.
- The Australian Government announced that public sector information was to have a default creative commons attribution license.
