Overview
Dynamo is a 3 column theme for Moodle 2.4 (More versions soon to come). The theme features a textured header and background, with a banner for a custom logo to display. You can customize the colors and logo from the theme settings within Moodle.
Installation
To install the Dynamo theme, follow these steps:
- Download the theme from https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=theme_dynamo.
- Extract and upload to your Moodle code in the folder moodle/theme.
- Log in as an Administrator in your Moodle site, you should be prompted to update the database. (Note that you may have to go to the home page).
- While still logged in as an Administrator, go to Site administration->Appearance->Themes->Theme selector.
- Near the Default theme choose Change theme.
- Scroll down and find Dynamo, choose Use theme.
Adding a Logo
The Dynamo theme has the option to add custom colors and a custom logo.
Custom Logo
- While logged in as an Administrator, go to Site administration->Themes->Dynamo
- Enter the URL of your logo into the appropriate text field. (Note: this must be an absolute path, eg. http://exampledomain.com/image.png).
- Click Save changes
Custom Colors
- While logged in as an Administrator, go to Site administration->Themes->Dynamo
- Choose the colors you want by clicking on the color pickers.
- Click Save changes
Troubleshooting
Theme does not show up in the Theme selector
Try going to Site administration->Themes->Theme selector and choose Clear theme caches.
Verify that the "dynamo" folder is uploaded to your Moodle code on your server; moodle/theme.
If the theme is still not showing up, verify you have downloaded the correct version. For example, if you're running Moodle 2.4, download the Dynamo theme for Moodle 2.4
Theme has some appearance/layout issues
This may be the theme or your Moodle installion. Verify that you have the correct version of the theme.

Custom Styling
If you wish to customize this theme to your liking, all CSS can be found in dynamo/style/core.css. Please note that this theme uses the Base theme as its parent.
