From MoodleDocs

I’m looking forward to helping out with Moodle docs. I often refer people to Moodle docs, in my on-going effort minimize how often tech support staff re-create information that already exists in Moodle docs. I don’t mean to sound critical of tech support staff. I’ve been one for about 25 years and have met many great people. It just seems that, with the best of intentions, support staff write instructions before seeing if any already exist.

I started using systems like Moodle in 1996, back when Web Course in a Box was the new thing. These days, I like finding ways to use Moodle, and other systems, for more than a place to put lots of files. I’m particularly interested in making interactive features more common for teaching staff who are interested but hesitant about technology.

Most recently, I've been trying to apply current styles and standards for writing online help, from organizations like Google and Microsoft. I don't mean to blindly follow the technology super-powers, but if you look at their online help, it has a brevity and consistency that's appealing, especially for new users. I want more people to use Moodle, especially teachers in non-technical fields, so I focus my writing on them.
