Configuration settings
Custom Instance Name
Here can a customized instance name be input, so the instance can be recognized if several instances are used for the same course.
Allow Use Profile To Enrol
Althought added to the course enrolement possibilities, the instance can be temporarily disabled using this switch.
User Profile Field
Choose a standard user field :
- Country
- City
- Institution
- Department
- Language
Or any additional profile custom field that has been defined
Expected Value
The value the field must hold to activate the enrolment permission.
Assign Role
When entering in the course through profile field allowance, this role will be assigned to the incoming user.
Notify Managers
If enabled, a notification is sent to anyone having the enrol/profilefield:manage capability. Usually, Editing Teachers enrolled in course do have.
Notification Template
This textarea allows you to customize the message that will be sent to teachers (to you ?) when a user registers. The message uses some typical placeholders to include variable information :
- <%%TEACHER%%> : Usually your name
- <%%COURSE%%> : the course fullname
- <%%USERNAME%%> : the incoming user's identity
- <%%URL%%> : The url of his profile information.
Other Standard Values
Enrolment Duration
Defines the length of the course accessibility time range for the user, starting from the instant the user registers in the course. If disabled, the access tou course will be unlimited in time.
Enrolment Start Date
If enabled, users will only be allowed to use this enrolment method from this date ahead.
Enrolment End Date
If enabled, users will only be allowed to use this enrolment method till this date.
