Talk:Upload a file repository

From MoodleDocs

I am rather experienced with using Moodle from versions 1.3 through 1.9, so this 'repository' business is rather confusing.

  1. 'Upload a file' is not a repository -- it's an action.
  2. Where does the file go? How can you upload to Private Files or Server files? The 'upload' process doesn't allow one to specify the destination.
  3. Why can't you upload multiple files? All the modern systems -- WordPress, etc -- allow uploading of multiple files. I am sure that folks want to be able to upload to a 'repository' and then choose the file. Isn't this how repositories are used in practice?

Lots of good questions, thanks Mark. If you've not done so already, please post them in a forum in Using Moodle to hopefully get some expert answers! --Helen Foster 18:13, 3 January 2012 (WST)
