*Depending on the needs of the course teacher or the requirements of the site, users may be allowed to enrol themselves into a course, either directly or by means of an [[Enrolment_key|enrolment]] key they have been given. They may be manually enrolled by their teacher or enrolled automatically by the administrator. If allowed, a course can offer guest access to users who can then peruse the contents but not participate in any activities. Users may be allowed to unenrol themselves from a course or [[Unenrolment|unenrolment]] can be controlled by the teacher or administrator.
