messaging/messages block

Perhaps I have misunderstood the nature of templates - I wondered similar about comments and the comments block - should messages block not be in with blocks and messaging be separate -even though they both involve sending and receiving messages?--Mary Cooch 17:14, 29 September 2011 (WST)
