Managing blocks page suggestion

mention weighting, appearance, visibility Block_permissions - OU, Oct 09, 1.9 VI & text, OK but need to check and extend to Moodle 2 functionalities Blocks_administration OU, Mar 10, most info for admins but could be useful for Teachers to know that blocks can be manipulated

It is more complicated than that

I am will be bringing back "sticky blocks" as a page for the old timers. They will be directed to this page for more detail instructions.

I think it is an excellent point about letting teachers know where those blocks come from that they have no control over. However, they can also create sticky blocks in the context of their course (if allowed). The roles and context features of 2.0 make this a potentially complex subject. I have to say I learned a great deal in updating these pages.

There could be more specific to context/role notes that could be added. I initially approached this via demo.moodle as a site administrator. A start anyway --Chris collman 21:41, 18 September 2011 (WST)
