I've tried both options provided on this page without luck. Setting the debug error reporting in the admin>server>debug menu did nothing to change the reported security status. I tried to locate the php.ini file, but could not find one in my server's file tree. I contacted the hosting provider and was told that I could place a php.ini file in my directory tree and it would be recognized an read, but when I placed one in the moodle section of my web site it had no effect. in 'server>PHP Info' Moodle reports that the php.ini is located at /usr/local/lib/php.ini, but I cannot locate the start of this tree on my server.
