Talk:Multichoice Questions

From MoodleDocs

I suggest we delete or rename this page. First Multiple choice is the default lesson question and multichoice is an option found in it. 1.8 and prior there have been two types of multichoice questions: Quiz (Question Bank) and Lesson, which are scored very differently. This page is for a lesson question. We have other pages that contain information about all lesson question types, plus a few links from the Quiz question types, etc.

I am not against this page. But I think it should be called something else. I would let Question Bank questions keep the simple page names. Who knows what is going to happen in 2.0 when Lesson may be able to access Question bank questions. My suggestion is to rename this something like:

Multiple choice question (Lesson) and/or Multichoice question (Lesson)

If we decided to add other Lesson question pages they would follow the same format:

Short answer question (Lesson) etc. These would all become Lesson category items. My 2 pence worth. Best to all--Chris collman 10:25, 10 September 2007 (CDT)

Still have issues with this page

Multianswer questions are Lesson questions. This question type is created by selecting a Multiple Choice question. We should have a multianswer page for Lesson, or at least a redirect to here from there. Multichoice is not longer in the lexicon of Moodle :)

Thus this page is really a disambiguation page. I will create a new page "Multianswer questions" and copy the content over. --Chris collman 11:10, 10 January 2009 (CST)

In Moodle 1.9 Quiz, the Multiple Choice question type is selected and then in the field "One or multiple answers?", the teacher selects "Multiple answers allowed" from the pull down box.
