Metacourse question

In this contributed module, do I understand that any course linked to a metacourse can be placed as a link on the metacourse's home page in a topic?

Is the reverse true? What if I have a course where 4 metacourses get their enrollment information.

I am going through MoodleDocs looking at the descriptions of Metacourse. A metacourse only gets its enrollments from other courses and I believe calling those courses "child" is misleading. I think the metacourse is best thought of an a child, which can adopt 1 or more parents, thus make for complicated sibling relationships :)
