Version 2.0
Moodle 2.0, our biggest release ever - two and a half years of work by hundreds of people - is now available!  It contains a huge number of core changes to the platform, most of which are designed to give 3rd party developers more flexibility, scalability and safety.

Please see the Moodle 2.0 release notes for details.

Version 2.1
Release date: June 30 2011

In Moodle 2.1 the core development teams will focus almost exclusively on improving core interfaces for users, tackling one or two of the following tasks at a time.

* Restore 1.9 backups directly
* Rewriting of the grading interfaces for modules, hopefully including rubrics
* Assignment rewrite, combining types into an all-in-one simple module using the new grading interfaces
* Quiz and question bank rewrite, Tim Hunt, The Open University, UK.
* Extending web services API for use by mobile apps
* Improved file handling in the HTML editor and elsewhere
* Separate "News forums" into their own "news" module
