Course end date also is used for calculating retention period for deleting data via Privacy API.

Avoid using non-ASCII characters in course short name

Maybe we should have a sentence advising to use only standard ASCII letters and numbers in the short name field, in order to avoid errors described in https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=362971#p1537035 and MDL-36652 . German Valero (talk)

Suggested minor update

For Course_settings#Show_gradebook_to_students change to:

Here you can decide whether to allow students to see the link to grades in the course menu. If your course doesn't use graded activities, it makes sense to disable this. If grades are used and this link is disabled, students can still see their grade in the actual activity itself, for example: in an assignment. --Leon Stringer (talk) 08:33, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
