Hey Colin, I saw your picture and some of your edits. Glad you added a user page. Really excited that somebody else is looking hard at the "new user" perspective, especially from the Admin side. It is so easy to slip into jargon or make assumptions about the readers knowledge.

I like the "HTML page" image you put in the FAQs. I think it could be also used in Front Page. And by the way, I thought giving quick "How to" was an outstanding idea.

Keep those ears sharp :)

Hi Colin, I agree with you 100% that the parent child analogy used in Metacourse is flipped on its head. Children usually are not thought of as giving privilages to their parents (enrollments). I would say the metacourse is the child. In the unusual MoodleCulture, the metacourse is basically an orphan at its creation and can pick its parents. Thank you for pointing that out, which gave me the big Ah Ha, now I get it !...after how many years? --Chris collman 12:38, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Moving the FreeTDS for linux section to different page?

Hi Colin,

what is the rationale for moving the "Using FreeTDS on Unix" section to a new, generic, FreeTDS page? If we do that for the linux/freetds combination, then we'll need to do the same for the windows/freetds and odbtp/xxx combinations. Is that the plan? I really think that right now, the linux/freetds is way, way more hidden than previously. Any feedback will be welcome... thanks! --Eloy Lafuente (stronk7) 13:07, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
