::I have spent some time with the standard wiki in 1.5 (I think of as MoodleWiki15) that is on our production server in the last two weeks. Created instructions for our equipment and FAQs.  I edited the wiki template pages based upon this experience.  Last night I upgraded one of my local hosts from 1.6.2 to 1.6.4 and decided to install the NewWiki16 (as I call it) plugin. Congrats, it certainly is more robust and MoodleDoc like, which makes me feel more comfortable.  Guess I better download 1.8 so I can get my head around MoodleWiki18. --[[User:chris collman|chris collman]] 07:31, 19 February 2007 (CST)

I vote that there (here) is some discussion on how to integrate MediaWiki to Moodle. Mainly, what parts of MediaWiki to use as a library to power the Moodle wiki... (~SamuliK)

Rigth now moodle is moving to the new wiki module Dfwiki, to integrate MediWiki into moodle as a module is absolutelly impossible. One year ago when I started the project [Dfwiki], I analized the code of MediaWiki and it cannot be bu design. Anyway soon the wiki module will be fully compatible with mediwiki syntax, and will be able to export and import to and from mediawiki, and even more. Ludo (Marc Alier)

I tried to clean up this page for users, rather than developers :). I note that as Granludo and Taylor points out, MediaWiki is useful for sites and the MoodleWikis are for courses.

I have spent some time with the standard wiki in 1.5 (I think of as MoodleWiki15) that is on our production server in the last two weeks.
Just downloaded 1.8 beta and it looks like the MoodleWiki15 and 16 standard, no like NewWiki16. --Chris collman 08:48, 19 February 2007 (CST)
