:: Thanks for your reply. You have a point with this page being an overview of the whole scope of the developer documentation. Will do some minor housekeeping with the page as it is then ;-) --Frank Ralf 06:17, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Isn't there an English version of the page?

Revision as of 06:09, 18 January 2010

After discussions with Helen I think that this page should have a section "Current development projects" which should have the links that are currently on the Developer notes page. That page should then simply be redirected to Developer documentation. I find it important to be able to have an overview over everything on this main page. I am not worried about this page being long, the table of contents at the top allows one to easily jump to the section of interest. --Gustav Delius 20:39, 13 February 2006 (WST)

Does this work?

Note: New developer documentation pages should be added to the Development namespace by typing Development: before the new page name i.e. New page name.

If you are a developer, you probably want to change your preferences to include the Development namespace in searches.

A page may be added to the Developer category by typing at the bottom of the page.

Wondering if development image should be carried from home page. Here it is appears in the note to the right. Yellow background, could create a template or table to separate--Chris collman 07:09, 18 January 2009 (CST) the 2 things but screen resolutions might make that sort of futitle.

Splitting up?

Are there already plans for splitting up this page? I think many of the sections deserve their own page(s), e.g. the Tools section. --Frank Ralf 19:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. This page is an entry-point - a portal - and the target audience is quite technical people. I think having the scope of the developer docs all laid out of one page is good, even if it leads to a long page. And, reviewing the page, I don't think there is anything I would be happy to see moved to another page. I think the heading structure makes it quite easy to skim.--Tim Hunt 02:51, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
