File Submission Restrictions

This is a proposal for additional features to better manage and restrict the types and sizes of file in individual assignments in the Assignment module

Goals and rationale

The main goals of this feature are to :

  • Better manage the types of file and their sizes that can be accepted in the Assignment module
  • Provide the ability to add 'new' selected types of files and their sizes that can been added to the existing file types successfully and tailor them to individual and specific assignments depending on their specific requirements.

Overview

Current file types and sizes in the Assignment module

The current default setting in regards to file types in the Assignment module is that any types of files can be accepted and used as submission or feedback files in the Assignment activity.
