URL submissions
This is a proposal for an additional submission type feature in the Assignment module
Goals and rationale
The main goals of this feature are to :
- Enable users to enter the URL of a website for copying it into Moodle (copying and then zipping it) and using it as a form of submission in an assignment activity.
Overview
Settings added to the mod_assign settings page
URL submission (select yesno, default to no)
[Help text] When set to yes, a text box for entering a website URL will be visible to students as one of their forms of submitting the assignment
Changes to submission settings interface
URL submission
If the URL submission select yesno is set to yes, a text box for entering a website URL will be visible to students as one of their forms of submitting the assignment. Anything entered in the box will be checked to ensure that the input is in a web address format before the assignment submission can be saved and submitted for grading
