I reformatted this page and added an introduction. The screen shots now appear in a section that is called an example of Activity Locking. Cleaned up See also section.
Let me start by saying that I am really excited that this kind of concept (aka conditional activity, activity locking, dependency) will be added as part of Moodle 2.0. I thought it was important to note that activity locking has always been done in the context of a course, not a Moodle site.  However, I can imagine that a course might also have some conditions applied to it before it can be entered.  For example a trainee must complete Course_101 with a 50% score or higher before being allowed to start Course_102.

Let me start by saying that I am really excited that this kind of concept (aka conditional activity, activity locking, dependency) will be added as part of Moodle 2.0. I reformatted this page and added an introduction. The screen shots now appear in a section that is called an example of Activity Locking. Cleaned up See also section.

I thought it was important to note that activity locking has always been done in the context of a course, not a Moodle site. However, I can imagine that a course might also have some conditions applied to it before it can be entered. For example a trainee must complete Course_101 with a 50% score or higher before being allowed to start Course_102.
