Pregunta todo-o-nada

Esta es una pregunta de opción múltiple, respuesta múltiple, que fue creada por Adriane Boyd y que después fue mantenida por Vedrine, y ahora por Campbell.

Descripción

La pregunta todo-o-nada está adaptada de la pregunta de opción múltiple existente; la principal diferencia con la preguna estándar de opción múltiple es en la forma en la que funciona la calificación. La interfaz para editar la pregunta está ligermente modificada al crear las preguntas, el profesor solamente tiene que seleccionar cuales de las respuestas son correctas.

Calificación

  • En una pregunta de opción múltiple todo-o-nada, un respondente puede elegir una o más respuestas.
  • Si las respuestas elegidas corresponden exactamente a las respuestas correctas definidas en la pregunta, el respondente obtiene 100%.
  • Si el estudiante elige cualquier opción incorrecta, o no selecciona todas las respuestas correctas, la puntuación es 0%.

Nota: Antes de utilizar este tipo de pregunta, los profesores deben de realmente pensar si esta manera de calificar es lo que quieren.


Indicaciones para usar este tipo de preguntas

  • Este tipo de pregunta es magnífico para situaciones de vida-o-muerte, procedimientos y situaciones críticas en medicina o ingeniería.
    • El olvidar un ítem vital en una cirugía, o incluir una medicina incorrecta en una receta médica, podría tener un efecto desastroso en el bienestar o la sobrevivencia del paciente tratado.
    • Un ítem faltante o un paso contraindicado puede comprometer la seguridad de un puente que se está diseñando/construyendo
    • Y un error de éstos puede/debería tener un gran impacto en el puntaje del estudiante.

Contraindicaciones para usar este tipo de preguntas

  • Sería demasiado agresivo usar este tipo de pregunta para preguntarle a un estudiante de primaria que seleccione 5 ciudades localizadas en el continente Africano de entre 10 opciones en una evaluación de geografía.
  • Si los estudiantes no están convencidos de la justificación para emplear esta forma peculiar de calificcar, puede haber quejas y críticas de 'injusticia del profesor' si un profesor usa este tipo de preguntas para evaluaciones sumativas. ¡Muchos estudiantes están acostumbrados a obtener la mitad de los puntos cuando eligen la mitad de las opciones correctas !

After choosing to make a new all-or-nothing Multiple Choice question, you must:

  • Write the question name. Choose a name that will make it easy to identify this question inside your question bank.
  • Write the question text. State precisely what the student needs to do in order to get this question right. Some groups of students may need more detailed information than others, and you must know the needs of your students and write the questions accordingly.

  • You must choose the default mark for this question (the default is 1).
  • It is usually a good idea to write an appropiate general feedback paragraph.
  • You must think which numbering scheme will be used for the choices ('No numbering' is used here).

  • It is advisable to write first all the correct (needed) choices and check the 'Correct' checkboxes for these choices. There are three correct choices in this example:

  • Now you can add a couple of distractor choices.

  • If you want to allow multiple tries, you can write the hints and choose whether you want to clear the incorrect responses, show the number of correct ones and show the feedback for the selected ones.

  • But, If the student choose one (or more) incorrect choice, the student gets 0 points.

  • Or, If the student fails to choose one (or more) of the correct choices, the student gets 0 points.
  • If the student will be shown the general feedback, you should check that the feedback is actually adequate for explaining what was wrong with the student's choices.
