Non-standard blocks are those that do not come supplied with Moodle. Installing these will require some effort by your Moodle Administrator.

Please be aware that third-party blocks may have all sorts of quality issues, may not work correctly, and even if they work now may not work when you next upgrade your Moodle. Please research the modules properly before committing to them!

Block downloads

Non-standard blocks may be downloaded from:

• the Modules and plugins database or
• cvs:moodle/contrib using the URL http://download.moodle.org/download.php/modules/directory_name.zip

Block installation

1. Download the zip file to your moodle/blocks directory and unzip it there
2. Visit your admin page to complete the installation
