Reverse proxy

If your server is located behind a Reverse proxy frontend you may need to select appropriate order of headers that is being used in your setup. Contact your network administrator if not sure.

Web proxy settings

Your Moodle server may need to access the Internet through a proxy server, depending on your network configuration. If you're not sure about whether you need a proxy server, contact your network administrator or ISP.

Internet access on server is required for many core features such as:

  • language pack installation and upgrade
  • automatic updates
  • repositories
  • portfolios
  • plagiarism
  • messaging plugins
  • timezone updates
  • server environment check before upgrades
  • etc.
