Note: It is hoped that the QuizPort module (renamed as the TaskChain module) will replace the Hotpot module in Moodle 2.0.
The Hotpot activity module allows teachers to administer Hot Potatoes and TexToys quizzes via Moodle. These quizzes (shareware or freeware versions available along with licensed versions) are created on the teacher's computer and then uploaded to the Moodle course. After students have attempted the quizzes, a number of reports are available which show how individual questions were answered and some statistical trends in the scores.
Note for administrators: The Hotpot module is disabled (hidden) by default in Moodle. It can be enabled by clicking the eye icon in the hide/show column in Administration > Modules > Activities.
