Poodll Subtitle offers an easy way to add subtitles to all your audio and video files in Moodle. No longer is it necessary to create and upload separate WebVVT files. Just select the link or player for the audio or video file and click the Poodll Subtitle icon on the toolbar. For those wishing to generate subtitles automatically, you may do so with the Atto Cloud Poodll plugin.
Use Cases
Adding support for deaf or hearing impaired learners
While audio and video files can serve as a valuable resource for learners in online courses, they create accessibility issues for deaf and hearing impaired learners. Poodll subtitle allows teachers to add captions to support those who cannot hear.
Making resources available in other languages
Teachers may with to make their audio and video content available to speakers of other languages. Poodll Subtitle makes it possible to add captions via a simple editing interface, which saves teachers the trouble of preparing a separate WebVVT file.
Scaffolding language learners
In language learning contexts, teachers can add subtitles to audio and video files within the course as an additional support to learners.

Poodll Subtitle has no dependencies and requires no service subscription. You can install Poodll Subtitle as usual from the Moodle plugins directory. Please see the Poodll Subtitle support documentation for more information on installing and using Poodll Subtitle.
