As is said at: http://www.open.ac.uk/mystuff/?page_id=4

Q: I have installed MyStuff according to the directions but I am unable to access anything while signed into it as a student, or as an instructor. Some of the time the Administrator is able to gain access but even that doesn't happen all the time. Did I install it incorrectly or is there a setting that needs to be changed?

A: With ref: to permissions; you have to make sure your student role has the MyStuff capabilities enabled. Go to Moodle Users administration area and look at changing the student role definitions for the MyStuff capabilities.

Q: I have installed the latest code on a 1.9.1+ Moodle site and checked all of the permissions, but users other than admin get a message that they do not have the correct permissions to use MyStuff.

A: Just to update, it works for users other than admin if the settings are changed to “allow everything except impersonate others”.
