Moodle includes a wide variety of ways in which both teachers and students can add media. A teacher, for example, might include a video or sound file in a Lesson or Quiz which could then form the basis of a set of questions.

A student could add an image to a forum discussion, glossary or database. It is also possible (with certain restrictions) to embed code from sites such as Google Maps or Voki.

Site administration settings

For sound and video to be displayed in their own players, the administrator needs to enable the Multimedia plugins filter. There are several repositories housing media, such as Youtube or Flickr which may also be enabled by the administrator so that users can select from these locations.
