| The '''turning editing on''' option can be found as a link in the administration block or as a button at the top right of a course homepage. This option is only available to teachers of the course who also have editing rights or to those users who are assigned site administration rights. Turn editing on allows teachers to change the appearance and functionality of the course. You can turn editing off again by pressing the button or the admin block link again (both now renamed turn editing off!)

| Einführung

| Unter Sortieren versteht man allgemein den Prozess des Anordnens einer
| |
| gegebenen Menge von Objekten in einer bestimmten Ordnung. Die Ordnung
| |
| hängt dabei von der Art der Objekte ab, z.B. wird man Texte alphabetisch und
| |
| Zahlen numerisch sortieren.
| |

| Aufgabe bei der Sortierung ist es, Datensätze, die über einen oder mehrere
| |
| Schlüssel (eindeutig) charakterisiert sind, in eine geordnete Folge zu bringen.

| Dabei muss auf den Schlüsseln der Datensätze eine (partielle) Ordnung definiert
| |
| sein, und damit auch eine Vergleichsfunktion.
| |

| Die Sortierung von Datenmengen erleichtert z.B. das Suchen bestimmter
| |
| Elemente (über ihren Schlüsselwert) oder auch das Entdecken von Duplikaten.

| In der Literatur werden verschiedene Sortieralgorithmen beschrieben, die sich
| |
| jedoch zum Teil in ihrem Ressourcenverbrauch (Speicher, CPU) unterscheiden.

| Ein „guter“ Sortieralgorithmus sollte effizient mit den Ressourcen umgehen,
| |
| also möglichst wenig Speicher und CPU-Zeit verbrauchen.
| |
| Ziel dieses Kurses ist es, die Algorithmen dieser Verfahren zu verstehen und
| |
| die jeweilige Komplexität zu bestimmen.
| |
| Hier geht's um das Sortieren durch Einfügen, das Sortieren durch Auswählen sowie das das Sortieren durch Vertauschen (Bubblesort), also um die drei einfachen Sortieralgorithmen. Dazu verwenden wir Arrays.
