Note for Contributors
This page should explain what the Activities block is.

This block lists all of the categories of the things that are available in your classroom (forums, quizzes, assignments, etc.). The first time you enter your classroom, the only category that is listed is “Forums.” This is because one forum (discussion board) exists by default – the news forum. The activities list will grow as you add activities to your classroom.

Whenever you add a different activity or resource to your course, an icon will appear in this block representing the specific Moodle “module” (e.g. Forum, Journal, Assignment etc.). These icons will link to a list of all instances of that modules activity that appear throughout the course.
