'23 things' a way to learn Moodle - Vanessa Tuckfield, CIT

Vanessa is an educational copyright expert - CIT library staff are involved in implementing new LMS (WebCT -> Moodle/Wimba/Equella). Vanessa described a 10-week, 1-hour a week flexible learning support program for helping staff to learn their new system, using the "23 things" model for learning Web2.0 skills.

  7. There were two facilitators engaging throughout - used "chocolate frog" incentive
  8. 1/3rd completed early and were very engaged; most completed everything OK; a few didn't
  9. WebCT4 migrated to Moodle with objects harvested to Equella for local area access, university access - but staff culture isn't prepared yet for full open access
