I vote that there (here) is some discussion on how to integrate MediaWiki to Moodle. Mainly, what parts of MediaWiki to use as a library to power the Moodle wiki... (~SamuliK)

Rigth now moodle is moving to the new wiki module Dfwiki, to integrate MediWiki into moodle as a module is absolutelly impossible. One year ago when I started the project [Dfwiki], I analized the code of MediaWiki and it cannot be bu design. Anyway soon the wiki module will be fully compatible with mediwiki syntax, and will be able to export and import to and from mediawiki, and even more. Ludo (Marc Alier)

I tried to clean up this page for users, rather than developers :). I note that as Granludo and Taylor points out, MediaWiki is useful for sites and the MoodleWikis are for courses.

Wiki Forum does not make clear exactly which wiki is for what version. Nor are downloads for each versions very clear. This may not be the best page for the information I gathered, but at least it is someplace :)) --Chris collman 2 10:45, 20 August 2006 (CDT)
