- This allows a user to view fields such as ID number and email address (as selected in 'Show user identity' in Settings > Site administration > Users > Permissions > User policies) when searching for users and displaying lists of users, for example when adding users to groups and in the grader report
- This also allows a user to view a student's email on their profile page (if email is selected as one of the fields in Show user identity)
- This capability is allowed for the default roles of manager, teacher and non-editing teacher
