If you choose to restore any of the files, you will move to another page with the notice saying that it is later that you will choose whether add the backup to an existing course or make it a completely new course.
N.B.: that the option to create new course is available to users with either Administrator or Course Creator privileges on the site.
Click "Continue". You are transferred to another page with the backup details, i.e. the list of activities you are going to restore. At this stage it is possible to refine the types of activity which will be processed during the restore by unchecking checkboxes for activity types which are not required in the receiving course as well as the files and user information to be restored (if these are present in the back up file).
Click the "Continue" button once more to transfer to another page, in which you will be given the choice of restoring the backup files:
- Administrators and Course Creators options are:
Restore to an existing course either adding to the course (keeping existing data) or deleting all existing data; or The creation of a new course using the data in the backup file being restored.
- Editing Teachers options are:
Restore to an existing course either adding to the course (keeping existing data) or deleting all existing data.
Click the "Continue" button. If the option of restoring to an existing course has been chosen, a list of exisitng courses will be displayed - click on the link for the required course.
Click the "Restore this course now!" button. The restoration process will begin. Allow it to continue until you see the message "Restore completed successfully."
