Under the System context, the Category context is is really the next level in the hierarchy of "spaces" within Moodle.
Category is the highest level container for sub-categories and courses.
Roles assigned at this level affect every sub-category and course contained within that Category.
Sub-Category
A sub-category is a division of a category.
