Dialogue

  1. Graham McKinnell, UC, showed how he uses Dialogues and automatically opens a dialogue with each student
  2. The main reasons for doing this are to:
    1. Avoid losing emails
    2. Contains/organises all dialogue for a student for a unit
    3. Allows multiple teachers to interact with individual students
  3. When setting up, choose group mode - separate groups (its not clear why)
  4. Then you can open a dialogue - with all participants

Question

  1. I asked what Graham does when he gets an email from a student. He said that if this happens its because there's something wrong with Moodle e.g. the student isn't enrolled. (Personally, I tend to make use of forums and email rather than dialogues.)
