Note:

If you want to create a new page for developers, you should create it on the Moodle Developer Resource site.

Talk:Adding question types to lesson

From MoodleDocs

Good Idea. Most of the pages in the lesson catagory are about current features, best practices and etc. I want to make sure that users know these are being developed, not part of stable Moodle or 1.7 etc.

I also think a MoodleDoc page is a great way of summarizing complex threads that are found in the forums. And if somebody could tell me how to link to a specific individual post in a forum, this would be a big help in our documentation process. I am excited about this project. --Chris collman 19:51, 3 August 2006 (WST)

I agree

I agree Chris, bad idea on my part. I removed the Lessons template from this page and removed the link to this page from the template.

And if somebody could tell me how to link to a specific individual post in a forum...

Check this out Editing help: external links.

I am excited about this project.

Me too, cannot wait to get started :)

I don't think it's bad

I really feel very strongly that a MoodleDoc page is a great place to explain an idea that has been developed in a forum. Late to the discussion person can get up to speed and save you a bunch of time explaining. I was not trying to say it did not belong.

My note at the top is meant to redirect the less developer types, reguardless of where this page is or is linked to.

Is this for 2.0? If so, I would create a catagory and add it. Then when 2.o happens the page might morph.

Great link to Wiki edit. But while I can link to a thread, a post in the thread ???? http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50597 takes me to the thread, but how to I reference Art's particular post. Over in Activity Locking page is a problem. I want to send people to the post that contains the zip file of the latest and greatest. I can only send them to the thread and have to quote the date etc so they can find it. Thanks --Chris collman 08:41, 4 August 2006 (WST)

Hi Chris, re. linking to a particular forum post, please see the discussion Making links between forum posts. Art's posts in the thread you mention are http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50597&parent=233395 and http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=50597&parent=233428 --Helen Foster 19:25, 4 August 2006 (WST)
