Imagine unlimited audio and video recording, anywhere in Moodle!
Poodll for Atto takes you to places that ordinary recorders just can't go.

Poodll is a highly versatile and powerful audio and video recorder for Moodle's Atto HTML editor. Recordings are stored in the cloud and can be automatically subtitled in English, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese. Administrators can choose from a variety of recorder skins and control the display of icons. Poodll for Atto is not dependent on any other plugins.

Please watch the Poodll for Atto Video for a brief overview.

About Poodll for Atto

Poodll for Atto is an advanced audio and video recording solution for Moodle. It improves on Moodle's basic Record RTC solution in the following ways:

  • Can be used in all HTML areas throught Moodle
  • Supports file uploads and drag/drop uploads
  • Converts recordings to universally playable MP3 and MP4
  • Features a selection of attractive recorder skins
  • Stores files in cloud, so uploads are reliable and course backups stay small
  • Generates subtitles automatically

Use Cases

Content Creation

Teachers can make learning resources quickly and easily by recording directly in Moodle or dragging and dropping media files from the desktop. Regardless of the file format, Poodll quickly and reliably converts all media and display it to students. In language learning, Poodll for Atto enables teachers to create listening resources with the option of providing scaffolding in the form of target language subtitles. In general learning contexts, teachers can record/upload instruction or example videos for the students to follow when completing their assignments.

Peer Collaboration

Liven up forums by replacing written entries with audio and video recordings from the students. Language learners can practice speaking and pronunciation skills while providing listening content for their peers. Great for fully online courses
