Template:Assignments

The process of creating a choice activity is divided into two stages. The first is the specification of the basic settings, including the assignment type. In the second one, you fill in the options specific for the type of assignment you are adding.

Should we change our school uniform?

This is an open discussion and we would like you to comment on both positive and negative thoughts about our present school uniform and what, if any changes you would like to make.

Setting this date bans students from submitting their assignments before this date.

Please make your comments before 28 February 2006

Prevent late submissions

Set to "No", assignments submitted after the due date will be marked as late, but students will still be able to submit them. Set to "Yes", assignment submission will be blocked after the due date.

Assignment type

There are a growing number of assignment types available:

Upload
A student can upload a single file. This could be a Word document, spreadsheet or anything digital. Multiple files could be zipped and then submitted.
Online Text
This assignment type asks users to edit a text, using the normal editing tools. Teachers can grade them online, and even add inline comments or changes.
Offline assignment
This is useful when the assignment is performed outside of Moodle. It could be something elsewhere on the web or face-to-face. Students can see a description of the assignment, but can't upload files or anything. Grading works normally, and students will get notifications of their grades.
