[[Image:Manage tags.png|thumb|left|Manage tags]]The manage tags page provides a list of tags, together with information on their creators, how many times they are used, when they were last modified and which tags have been flagged as inappropriate. Inappropriate tags are shown in red when using the default theme.

Selected tags may be have their flag reset (in other words remove the inappropriate flag) or be deleted. Tag names and types may also be changed.

The manage tags page also allows for official tags to be added.

The experimental page lists all current experimental features i.e. features which require additional testing and bug-fixing and provides the option to enable particular experimental features.

View profile

The user profile page gathers together all the known information about a particular user.

If you are a teacher, or looking at your own profile, then you will see some extra tabs allowing you to edit the profile settings, or providing detailed report and logs about the activity of that user.

You may also see a link for each course you or the user belongs to. This depends on your privileges. If you are viewing your profile or are an administrator clicking on these links keeps you on the user's profile but alters the breadcrumb menu so you can quickly jump to that course.

There may be buttons at the bottom of the view profile page depending on whose profile you are viewing and what permissions have been set.

:This takes you to a form for changing your password.

;Messages
:This opens the Messaging pop-up. It only shows when viewing your profile.

;Send message
:This takes you to the Messaging pop-up and opens a messaging session with the user whose profile you were using. It only shows when viewing someone else's profile and if messaging is switched on by the administrator.

==GD version==

GD is a graphics library that manipulates graphics. It's used to create thumbnail images from uploaded files and other graphics on the fly. If you don't know what version is installed, leave this on the original setting.

'''Note''': When setting the system paths on Windows systems, use of the 8.3 notation for the path and filename is preferred. So instead of entering ''c:\program files\path to aspell\aspell.exe'', enter ''c:\progra~1\path~1\aspell.exe''. Check the exact 8.3 path using the ''dir /x'' command at the prompt.

==Path to zip==

When compressing files Moodle uses either the PclZip library or the external zip program. The external program is faster, so if you are experiencing slow backups or other performance problems, try setting the path to your zip program. On Unix/Linux systems, find the path as follows using the which program:

/usr/bin/zip

In this example the path to enter is ''/usr/bin/zip''.

This program must be the PKZIP-compatible ''zip''. The GNU zip program ''gzip'' cannot handle the type of zip files required by Moodle.

On Windows systems, download [[http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/zip.htm the GNU Win32 Zip complete package]]. Run the setup.exe program to install and use the search facility in Explorer to find the location of the zip.exe file. The path should look like:

c:\program files\gnuwin32\bin\zip.exe

If this does not work, shorten it to the 8.3 notation:

c:\progra~1\gnuwin32\bin\zip.exe

==Path to unzip==

On a Windows system, download and install [http://aspell.net/win32 GNU aspell] together with at least one dictionary and then use the search facility in Explorer to find the aspell.exe file. The path should look like:

c:\program files\aspell\bin\aspell.exe

It can be best to install aspell in c:\aspell or use the 8.3 notation if you are installing in ''c:\program files'' so that the path looks like

c:\progra~1\aspell\bin\aspell.exe

Session handling

Once someone logs in to your Moodle server, the server starts a session. The session data allows the server to track users as they access different pages. If users don't load a new page during the amount of time set here, Moodle will end their session and log them out.

Be sure this time frame is long enough to cover the longest test your teachers may offer. If a student is logged out while they are taking a test, their responses to the test questions may be lost.

==Cookie prefix==

Most of the time, you can leave this blank, unless you are running more than one Moodle site on the same server. In this case, you will want to customize the name of the cookie each Moodle site uses to track the session. This enables you to be logged into more than one Moodle site at the same time.

Note: If you change "Cookie prefix" or "Cookie path" you will need to login again as the changes take effect immediately.
