Posting a forum message, you will find several fields to complete.

The default content of Subject is usually 're: <the name of the 'parent' post>'. You can change it though.

There are several tips concerning careful reading, writing and asking you might consider worth following - you will find them on the left-hand side of the Message field. You will find more information here[1].

When writing text in Moodle there are several formats you can choose to produce your text, depending on your expertise and the type of browser you are using. Here is more information about Formatting.

To conclude, Attachment allows you to attach a file, the maximum size of which is defined on the right-hand side of the field.
